Applies preparatory materials, paints, and stains to surfaces of walls, ceilings, equipment, and furniture. Prepares and applies appropriate materials to signage and irregular surfaces such as parking lots, streets, and athletic play areas. Working conditions include restricted movement; air contamination, dirty environment, hazardous materials, lifting or carrying heavy objects. Washes, scrapes, sands, torches, and/or smoothes interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering or applying other related materials. Cleans equipment, paint mixing area, and work area. Installs, repairs, and maintains drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing, require knowledge, skills and abilities.
