Pipefitter Position Available In Jefferson, Alabama

Job Title:

Structural Plate Fitter Job Overview:

Fabricate and assemble metal products like frameworks, machinery shells, tanks, ductwork, and industrial equipment based on job orders and blueprints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Shift Hours:

6am – 2:30pm, Monday to

Friday Safety:

Operate safely and efficiently.

Verification:

Ensure work meets specifications using measuring tools.

Blueprint Reading:

Read and interpret blueprints.

Assembly:

Assemble parts using tack welding or bolting.

Math Skills:

Perform basic math and trigonometry.

Inspection:

Inspect layout lines and pipes before fitting.

Fitting:

Ensure fit-up gaps are within tolerance.

Cleaning:

Clean marks and broken tacks before QC inspection.

Welding:

Apply weld symbols and lay out skip welds.

Fabrication:

Assist in fabrication and maintain a clean work area.

Teamwork:

Work overtime as needed and collaborate with the team.

Material Handling:

Handle materials and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications:

Experience:

3-5+ years as a structural plate fitter or equivalent. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 – $29.00/hr.
