Our expertise includes the installation and repair of sanitary sewer mains, water mains, and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring reliable infrastructure for our communities. Summary We are seeking a dedicated Utility Worker to join our team at Dark Horse Construction, LLC. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various underground utility projects throughout Alabama. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining and enhancing essential public services. Responsibilities Assist in the installation and repair of sanitary sewer mains and services. Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently for excavation and utility installation. Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to complete tasks effectively. Conduct utility locating to prevent damage during excavation activities. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Participate in climbing tasks as required for project completion. Requirements Proven experience in underground utility work, with a focus on water and sewer systems Strong understanding of safety protocols and industry best practices Ability to operate a skid loader and/or other heavy machinery efficiently (5 + year experience) Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record An ideal candidate has experience with pipelaying, knowledge and experience with underground water and sewer systems, experience operating heavy machinery, enjoys working with a team that strives to exceed expectations and has a winning attitude and mindset.
