Job Description
Pipe Layer REV Construction Inc Tuscaloosa, AL 35401 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of pipelines, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of utility locating, heavy equipment operation, and blueprint reading, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Duties Install and maintain various types of pipelines, including water, sewer, and gas lines. Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes and loaders to assist in trenching and excavation is a plus. Utilize pipe lasers to ensure proper alignment and grade of pipelines. Perform utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Requirements Proven experience in pipelaying or related construction field. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation, particularly backhoes and loaders. Strong skills in utility locating and pipeline installation techniques. Knowledge of plumbing principles and techniques is desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to plumb accurately. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety on the job site. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing project needs.
