Need to have at least 5 years as a 1st class pipefitter, experience in industrial or shipyard environment, you will be working with large chiller pipes, $30 to $38 an hour, 55+ hours a week, long term position with full benefits, if interested

Job Description The ideal candidate will utilize their knowledge of mechanical equipment and piping installations, various terminologies, blueprint reading, measurements, setting equipment/piping, and job specifications to construct a complete piping system. This role requires fluency in understanding job specifications, blueprint reading, target point measurements, and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems. The candidate will also need hands-on working knowledge of datum lining, equipment/piping center lines, and work points. Technical proficiency in the installation of valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, automatic air vents, and pressure regulators is essential. The role involves installation knowledge of all forms of piping system hangers, supports, braces, from temporary through jam nut completion. The candidate should be a strong mechanical problem solver, accountable for daily work assignments, monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations, and documenting quality reporting methods. Responsibilities may also include operating overhead cranes or forklifts adhering to safe rigging systems and techniques, directing and monitoring helpers safely and efficiently, and complying with all company policies and safety requirements. - Fluent in understanding job specification, blueprint reading, target point measurements and torque requirements for large industrial piping systems.
- Hands on working knowledge of datum lining, Equipment/Piping center lines and work points.
- Technically proficient in the installation of various valves, suction diffusers, guides, circuit setters, expansion tanks, pumps, chillers, automatic air vents, pressure regulators, etc. to make a complete piping system.
- Installation knowledge of all forms of piping system hangers, supports, braces, etc., from temporary through jam nut completion.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solver who can understand and follow instruction.
- Accountability for completion of daily work assignments while monitoring quality, safety, and health regulations.
- Documentation of all quality reporting methods employed per SEA Quality Standards
- Operate overhead cranes and or forklifts, while adhering to industry standard practices of safe rigging systems and techniques.
- Safely and efficiently direct and monitor two or more helpers.
- Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements and physically / medically qualified to wear required PPE per OSHA standards.
- Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.
I Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
