POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The incumbent provides stable and dependable service, while learning trade-specific skills that will translate to additional opportunities and advancement within the Company.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision, assembles pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment. Partners with SMEs to review blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures. Participates in the MEP work that is being completed on a daily basis. Inventories and prepares all hand tools needed to complete daily tasks, as assigned. Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe using hand and power tools. Digs underground ditches for storm/sanitary/water systems, and extends piping to connect plumbing. Identifies potential risks and hazards while working in the field, and communicates them to management. Utilizes proper PPE at all times, in adherence to Company policy and other project standards. Actively learns and obtains job-related information via observation and direction from supervision. Collaborates with supervision to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work tasks, and meet both daily and weekly schedules.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates primarily in the field installing, maintaining, and repairing and MEP systems. Jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
General knowledge of construction activities. Ability to work with hands and use construction tools. Ability to take instruction. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have a driving record compliant with the Company’s policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industrial experience, including carpentry/woodworking, auto mechanics, or machinery.
