The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various settings, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, HVAC applications, and the ability to work with various tools and materials. Duties Fabricate pipe in a pipe shop with experience in copper, carbon, stainless, and aluminum. Must work be able to work from blueprints. Utilize welding techniques such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding to join pipes and fittings securely. Perform soldering tasks to ensure leak-free connections in piping systems. Use power tools effectively for cutting, threading, and assembling pipes. Conduct routine inspections of piping systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of piping with HVAC systems and other utilities. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times. Skills Proficient in a shop and sometimes field work. Experience with copper, carbon, aluminum, and stainless. Experience with pipeline construction and maintenance. Strong skills in soldering, plumbing, pipe threading, and building piping systems. Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of welding processes including FCAW and Stick welding. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
