Job Responsibilities:

Visually inspect serial numbers and part conditions to verify acceptability. You will perform masking, grit blasting, and operate furnaces under supervision Perform liquid and tape masking on components using various tools and equipment according to WI/Drawings to maintain coating allowances. Perform manual and robotic pre-process grit blasting for thermal spray on components according to specifications. Utilize precision measuring equipment to check work and record results in an electronic database. Conduct in-process inspections of your work and the work of others before part movement to the next operation. Operate controls on atmospheric and vacuum furnaces under direct supervision, load and unload work. Understand loading configurations and AMS2750 requirements for furnaces. Assist operators in setting up equipment and maintaining tooling. Operate small cranes and forklifts to move equipment, parts, and material. Set up and install brazing equipment according to process requirements. Execute brazing requirements on gas turbine components as per technical specifications. Perform grinding and blasting of components for braze preparation according to specifications. Advise and/or participate in the design and fabrication of brazing tools and fixtures as required.
