Fire Sprinkler Fitter Chief Facility Defense Buford, GA 30515 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of fire codes and standards, as well as the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure that fire protection systems are functioning effectively and efficiently. Duties Install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems according to local codes and standards. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine system layout. Assemble and plumb piping systems for fire sprinkler installations. Perform soldering and welding tasks using FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) techniques. Rig materials and equipment safely for installation purposes. Conduct routine inspections of fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot issues within existing systems and perform necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations. Skills Strong knowledge of fire codes and standards related to fire protection systems. Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints for effective installation. Experience in fire sprinkler fitting, including assembly, soldering, and plumbing skills. Ability to rig materials safely for installation tasks.
