Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Pipefitter to join our team at a shipyard in Harvey, LA. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in pipefitting and be proficient in using a torch for cutting and fitting tasks.

Responsibilities:

Install, assemble, and repair piping systems aboard ships and in the shipyard. Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to specifications using tools and equipment, including torches. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions. Conduct tests to ensure the integrity of piping systems. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of pipefitting experience, preferably in a shipyard setting. Proficiency in using a torch for cutting and fitting tasks. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong understanding of shipyard safety practices and protocols. Willingness to work a 50-hour week and meet deadlines under a fast-paced environment.
