About the

Role:

As an Apprentice Pipefitter , you’ll assist experienced Journeymen and Foremen in the layout, installation, and maintenance of piping systems. You’ll learn the trade by doing—from rough-ins and repairs to reading blueprints and operating tools and equipment. You’ll also be expected to attend technical classes and be registered with the state apprenticeship program, working steadily toward earning your Journeyman license.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installation, repair, and replacement of pipes, valves, and fixtures Prepare and transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites Cut, drill, and prep surfaces for pipe installation Mount pipe supports and hangers, and set sleeves or inserts Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings, and mechanical assemblies Disassemble and remove old or damaged piping Clean tools, work areas, and equipment regularly Follow all safety procedures and instructions from

Journeymen and Foremen What You Bring:
Education & Training:

High School diploma or GED required Enrollment in or willingness to register with the MA state apprenticeship program Vocational school training in plumbing, pipefitting, or mechanical trades is a plus

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic understanding of mechanical tools and hand tools Willingness to learn and take direction Strong work ethic and a safety-first mindset Ability to work well in a team environment Must be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written) Comfortable using basic electronic communication tools (e.g., email)

Certifications:
