This position is responsible for the professional installation, inspection, upkeep, and repair of fire sprinkler systems to maintain safety and regulatory compliance across commercial, industrial, and governmental buildings in mid-Missouri. Key Responsibilities Installation:

Plan and lay out sprinkler systems from construction drawings and specifications. Accurately cut, thread, and connect pipes and fittings. Install sprinkler heads, pipe supports, brackets, and associated hardware. Core drill through floors and walls as needed for pipe routing.

Maintenance & Repair:

Inspect current sprinkler systems for wear, damage, or inefficiencies. Perform regular testing and proactive maintenance. Replace malfunctioning or outdated components as needed.

Code Compliance:

Apply a solid understanding of fire safety codes and regulations. Ensure each project meets local and national compliance standards.

Documentation:

Keep detailed and organized records of all work performed. Report issues, violations, or concerns to project supervisors.

Qualifications Experience:

Previous hands-on experience in a related field is preferred—especially pipe threading—but not required. Training is provided.

Skills:

Able to read construction drawings, tape measures, and piping schematics. Proficient in using tools such as cutters, threaders, portabands, drills, and wrenches. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with great attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of working at elevated heights and in tight spaces. Able to lift and move heavy materials and use ladders or scaffolds safely.

Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
