Job Description:

Pipefitter As a Pipefitter in the maritime industry, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipe systems aboard vessels and offshore platforms. You’ll be working with a dynamic team of professionals, using your knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in all piping operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipefitter Install, maintain, and repair pipes, valves, and fittings for various systems (water, fuel, HVAC, etc.) aboard vessels. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to install pipe systems accurately. Cut, weld, and fit pipes using a variety of tools, including torch cutting and welding equipment. Perform regular inspections and tests to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels. Collaborate with engineers and other trades to resolve complex piping issues. Perform necessary maintenance and repairs to keep the systems functioning efficiently. Ensure all work complies with maritime safety regulations and industry standards. Document all work completed, including inspections and repairs.

Qualifications:

Pipefitter 3+ years of maritime pipefitting experience is required. Experience with blueprints and technical drawings is a must. Proficient in cutting and welding pipes using a torch. Experience with a variety of piping systems and materials (steel, copper, PVC, etc.). Strong knowledge of maritime safety regulations and procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot piping issues quickly. Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude. Certification in welding or pipefitting is a plus. Offshore or shipyard experience preferred.

Requirements:

Pipefitter Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Must be able to work at sea for extended periods. Physically fit for offshore and industrial work environments. Must have the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as required. Reliable and detail-oriented, with a focus on completing projects on time. IND2
