Pipefitter 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Greenville, SC 29617 Pipefitter Journeyman Hope Power & Industrial Inc. is a specialty manpower resource provider to contractors, industrial facilities and power generation plants: Our customer in Greenville, SC has an immediate opening for Industrial Journeyman Pipe Fitters. There is no travel expense nor per diem is available for this job. We are seeking a reliable industrial pipe fitters that has industrial process piping experience including Trilclover. The industrial process pipe fitter must be capable of working from P&ID sketches without any supervision.
General Job Description:
Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and industrial processing systems.
Functional Requirements:
Selects size and type of pipe and related material according to job specifications; inspects work sites to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes will not cause structural weakness; plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers; cuts, threads and bends pipe; assembles and installs a variety of metal and nonmetal pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, lead, glass and plastic; joins pipe by means of threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused or cemented joints; secures pipe to structure with clamps, brackets and hangers; installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls and piping; test piping system for leaks.
Qualification Standards:
(4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level) Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Hazard Communication orientation/test Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place.
Tools/Equipment:
