Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground line work followingpany established Safety and Health standards from the ground level.
  • Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
  • Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment.
  • Maintainpany equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
  • Will have contact with public and private property owners to professionallymuni-cate work to be performed.
  • Participates inpany training of all regional safety guidelines and is required to per-form all work by the regional safety policies.
  • Operates various tools for the work (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers,e-alongs, jack hammer and hand-line etc.).
  • All other duties as required or requested by Supervisors.
  • Reports all potential equipment and crew safety hazards to Foreperson
Minimum Qualification:
  • Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather whilepleting work as-signments, i.e., rain, heat, sun, cold.
  • Must be able to traverse various terrains.
  • Must be able tomunicate with others.
  • Must be able to maintain attention during dangerous tasks.
  • Must be able to follow directions, work safely & productively
  • May be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, week-ends, etc.
Education and Experience:
  • Be able to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications that you have obtained during your career.
Traveling Requirements:
  • Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work.
Driver License:
  • Valid Driver’s license is preferred or willingness to obtain valid CDL within 90 days of employment.

Safety:
  • Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and con-centration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather whilepleting work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8 or 10-hour day, be able tomunicate with oth-ers, read, write, andprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, andmunicate and handle conflict professionally.
