Full Job Description Pipefitter Location:

High Point, North Carolina

• Schedule:

• 6:00 AM
• 4:30 PM with overtime as necessary

Location:

High Point, NC Pay $23

• 26 per hour

• Responsibilities:

• Install industrial piping systems, including chilled water, hot water, steam, condensate, and condensed water.
• Read and interpret blueprints and submittals.
• Fabricate pipe supports and spool copper lines.
• Work independently, problem solve, and make decisions on the job.
• Repair, cap, and test various types of plumbing and piping systems.
• Supervise and instruct plumbing helpers.
• Adhere to and practice all safety procedures.
• Operate necessary equipment as per licensing requirements.

• Education Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Rigging knowledge is preferred.
• 5 years of pipefitting experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pipefitting tools, power tools, and fabrication methods.
• Understanding of different types of pipe, valves, fittings, and their functions.
• Familiarity with general code requirements and limitations.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards, including safe use of ladders.

• Job Requirements & Special Skills:

• Ownership of pipefitting hand tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels at or above 90 decibels.
