Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Pipefitter to install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems in our industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of piping layouts, blueprints, and technical specifications and will be able to work independently or as part of a team to ensure systems are installed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all codes and regulations. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping diagrams. Cut, thread, groove, and weld pipes according to specifications. Install supports, valves, and control systems for piping systems. Perform pressure tests to ensure the integrity of installed systems. Troubleshoot and repair pipe systems, including leaks and blockages. Work with various types of piping materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and plastic. Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other tradespeople on large-scale projects. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. ________________________________________
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship or technical training program preferred. 2+ years of experience as an industrial pipefitter. Proficient in pipe fabrication, layout, and installation. Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to use pipe threading machines, cutting torches, welding equipment, and hand tools. Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in confined or elevated spaces. Welding certifications (e.g., SMAW, TIG) are a plus. ________________________________________
Working Conditions:
Potential assistance required for installation work outside of production facility Exposure to varying weather conditions, loud noises, and potentially hazardous materials. May require working nights, weekends, or overtime depending on project demands.
