Pipe Layers GLO Resources LLC Sanford, NC 27331 GLO Resources is currently hiring experienced Pipe Layers in Sanford, NC . The pay rate is between $16-$24 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company.
Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled Pipe Layers who will be responsible for installing, aligning, and connecting pipes for water mains, storm drains, sanitary sewers, and other utility systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Install sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems. Cut pipes to the required length. Assist in aligning pipes during Installation. Align and position pipes to prepare them for sealing or joining. Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers. Connect pipe pieces and seal joints by either bolting, cementing, or gluing. Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices. Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools Train others in pipe-laying techniques Other general labor and construction duties as required. Install trench boxes and shoring materials. May be assigned other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
1-2 years’ experience in construction 1 year of experience with pipe laying techniques Able to operate both simple hand and power tools and pipe lasers Ability to communicate well with supervisors and co-worker High school Diploma or Equivalent Valid Driver’s License Must successfully pass a drug screen prior to employment.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
