With a strong presence in both the commercial and industrial sectors, our Charlotte, NC team is expanding. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Installer who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is committed to delivering quality craftsmanship in HVAC and mechanical projects.

Position:

Pipe Installer As a Pipe Installer with DesignBuild Mechanical, you will play a critical role in the installation of HVAC piping systems, including natural gas and refrigerant lines, supporting our design-build commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Install and test natural gas piping systems safely and accurately. Perform refrigerant piping installations including fitting, brazing, purging, flaring, and swaging. Operate pipe threading machines with efficiency and safety. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and layout drawings. Utilize hand tools, lifts, rigging, and material handling equipment as needed on the job site. Qualifications Proven experience in natural gas piping and refrigerant pipe installations. Proficient with pipe threading equipment and related tools. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints. Capable of using hand tools, forklifts, man lifts, and rigging equipment. Strong safety mindset and ability to follow OSHA standards on job sites. Physical Requirements Ability to work 10-hour shifts regularly. Capable of standing, walking, and climbing stairs throughout the workday. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly, including while using ladders.
