High school diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License About five years of experience in fire sprinkler installation Self-motivated, ambitious, interactive, communicative, detail-oriented and organized Able to work on projects independently Promote teamwork: Apprentice and Journeyman Fitters should understand: Worked as an apprentice with the Foreman/Journeyman during the installation of the sprinkler systems. Be able to follow instructions from your Foreman and have good communications skills. Be able to use a measuring tape to accurately measure the pipe and basic math concepts. Able to frequently climb ladders and operate high lift equipment Be able to use hand tools carefully. Follow daily required starting procedures and clean up skills by taking responsibility for all tools used and required at a job site and returning them to designated areas or truck. Be certified in OSHA requirements Foreman fitters should understand: Delegate appropriate tasks to apprentice and journeyman as needed to fulfill project completion dead lines Meet scheduling requirements, and exceed the goals established by the fire sprinkler manager Completing assigned projects in a timely manner and without going overbudget Manage all material/supplies and tools that are required for your job Fire protection installation requirements Architectural drawings, and blueprints Basic engineering knowledge Able to frequently climb ladders and operate high lift equipment Be certified in OSHA requirements Accurately communicate to customer and relate information to the office when needed.
