Duties Description Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Have a working knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the trades to which assigned.
- Have a working knowledge of applicable standards and plumbing and electrical code regulations.
- Have a working knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Use tools, machines, equipment and material of the craft or crafts wo which assigned.
- Read plans, specifications, manuals and blueprints.
- Perform moderate to heavy manual labor.
- Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Plan and lay out work and diagnose problems.
- Train and supervise others.
- Climb ladders and work at heights on scaffolds and platforms.
- As assigned, operate a motor vehicle.

Minimum Qualifications Four years of full-time experience in a trade under a skilled tradesperson which would provide training equivalent to that given in a training, apprenticeship, or equivalent program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of technical courses in skilled trades at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services. When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. Additional comments regarding the vacancy.
