Job Description

Pipefitter Chipton-Ross Goose Creek, SC 29445 Chipton-Ross is seeking highly skilled and experienced Pipe Fitters to support a state-of-the-art ship manufacturing facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a premier project in a growing sector, offering hands-on work with a leading defense contractor.

Responsibilities:

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed technical drawings Measure, cut, bend, and install pipes according to project specifications Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related components Test piping systems for leaks and ensure proper functionality Work with a variety of piping materials including copper, steel, and PVC Adhere to safety and quality standards on all installations Collaborate with welders, engineers, and other tradespeople

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of recent pipe fitting experience in shipbuilding or industrial settings Proven ability to read and work from construction drawings and piping schematics Strong understanding of marine piping systems and components Must be proficient with trade-related tools and equipment High school diploma or GED required Must pass background check and drug screening U.S. Citizenship may be required for certain project clearances

Preferred:

Experience in new construction shipyard environments Certifications in pipe fitting or welding are a plus
