Number of Opening:
5 Contract duration: 36 + months (can convert to permanent) Pay rate: $31/hr. Job description First 2-3 months there will be paid Training at Newport News, VA, which would include all expenses per day. Plans, develops, and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Thorough knowledge of marine pipefitting skills (Cutting/Fitting of pipe, identification of pipe joint types and reading of drawings). Ability to communicate effectively with adult learners and to maintain good relationships with staff and students. Flexibility to work different shifts. Maintain a high level of professionalism. Microsoft Office experience Self-starter and results driven person Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Highly motivated with need for minimal supervision
