ASAP Responsibilities for
Utility Pipe Layer:
Install and align water, sewer, and storm drain pipes per plans and specifications Excavate and grade trenches using hand tools or assist equipment operators as needed Measure, cut, and fit pipe materials such as PVC, ductile iron, and concrete Ensure pipe joints are properly sealed and systems are tested for leaks Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times Assist with backfilling trenches and restoring job sites Communicate effectively with foremen, equipment operators, and crew members
Utility Pipe Layer Qualifications:
Previous experience as a pipe layer or in underground utility work Familiarity with hand and power tools Ability to handle physical workload, indoor and outdoor Position requires the use of PPE, including: Steel-Toe work boots, safety vest, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States Must have reliable transportation to the job site Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
