Responsibilities:

Align and position pipes to prepare them for joining. Check slopes and alignment for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers and transits. Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, using cement, glue, or mechanical fasteners. Cut pipes to required lengths. Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools. Grade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools. Install and repair sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems. Tap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices. Knowledge of working around heavy equipment and rigging Knowledgeable in safe and professional practices in pipe testing Alignment to

Proven work experience as a Pipe Layer. Detailed knowledge of construction and pipe fitting techniques. Knowledge of sewer systems, storm drains, and water mains. Experience with machine-operated trenching tools (ramex, jumping jack). Experience with pipe cutting saws (Stihl cut off saw) Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects. Good communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
