Rockwood, TN 37854 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Forman to lead our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various construction trades and a strong ability to manage projects from start to finish. As a Forman, you will be responsible for overseeing the work of crew members, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews on-site. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements. Train and mentor crew members in various skills including tile laying, drywall installation, concrete finishing, masonry, trim carpentry, and frame carpentry. Manage the use of hand tools and equipment effectively to enhance productivity. Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality standards are upheld. Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues that arise. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, materials used, and labor hours. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with a strong background in at least one or more of the following areas: tile laying, drywall, roofing, concrete finishing, concrete forming, masonry, trim carpentry, or frame carpentry. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks as required by the job. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory. $23.00 – $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
