Commercial Install and Service Technician Freeman Water Treatment Birmingham, AL Freeman Water Treatment has been supplying the medical, industrial, and commercial water treatment field with the finest equipment and service since 1954. Due to our growth in Alabama and the surrounding states, we are looking to add a Commercial/Industrial Install & Service Technician to our team. The Technician will be entrusted to troubleshoot, repair, and install our water treatment equipment. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent mechanical abilities such as plumbing and electrical, the ability to work independently and efficiently, and be coachable. Since we serve multiple states, the position will require about 50% overnight travel. Travel expenses, per diem allowances, and bonuses are provided. This position will primarily serve our customers in Alabama with some travel to Tennessee, Georgia, and the panhandle of Florida. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of water treatment equipment and systems
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to perform installations and service accurately
- Collaborate with a team of installers to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of installed systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment and systems, and perform necessary repairs
- Utilize software systems for documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Responsibilities
- Proven experience as an installer, service technician, or in a related field such as industrial mechanic or military service
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and procedures
- Familiarity with technical sales processes is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and communicate with clients
