Come join our team as a Plumber I! We’re currently looking forPlumber I candidates. The position of Plumber I is critical tolearning the plumbing trade and steadily improving both quality andspeed over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Studiously learn the necessary aspects of drain, waste, vent(DWV), water systems, and other aspects including but not limitedto setting of tubs and installation of plumbing fittings andfixtures. Accurately build and install complete plumbing systemsshowcasing a clear understanding of all types of plumbingfittings. Ensure adherence to safety and quality of work standards. Deliberately manage materials needed for various projects. Steadily accumulate knowledge of basic tools required forplumbing work (soldering, cutting, and notching) and be able to putthat knowledge into use within thirty (30) days. Precisely and regularly maintain a clean and organizedjobsite. Thoughtfully follow directions and processes given by siteleadership. Enthusiastically motivated to learn the plumbing trade. Maintain compliance with state trade licensing programs. Build knowledge of Plumbing Code. Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality to adhere to workschedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
Motivated work ethic. Clear verbal communication skills. Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division. Ability to read, write, and interpret reports and documentssuch as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manual, andblueprints / CAD drawings. Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solveindependently. A high school diploma or GED is required. Valid driver license is required. Obtain apprentice licensing in appropriate states. Exposed to outdoor weather conditions including rain, humidity,snow, wind, cold, and heat. The environment may include very loud noises, working nearmechanical and moving parts, working at various heights, and small,awkward, confining workspaces. There is the possibility of inhalation of fumes and airborneparticles as well as the risk of electrical shock andvibrations. Must be able to do the following activities for most of theworkday: stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, reachwith hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, see, talk, andhear. Must be able to climb or balance regularly. Near constant lifting or carrying of items of various weights,typically up to 10 pounds most of the day. Capable of lifting atleast 50 pounds on occasion. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work withthe fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials. Wear job site-specific personal protective equipment and beable to lift at least 50 pounds. Possible travel to out of town/out of state projects
