job title: Plumbing Technician The Plumbing Technician has 6 or more years’ experience as a senior helper for a plumbing technician and may sometimes be ready to sit for a plumbing licensing exam. Must have experience with residential plumbing and commercial builder plumbing and be highly proficient in at least two of the following phases of plumbing construction: ground rough; top-out; finish and at least knowledgeable of the third. Repairs, water supply, drain cleaning and repair sewer lines, water heater installation, gas line installation, and fixture repair are all pluses.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, fixtures in commercial and residential structures
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals
• Follow building plans and blueprints
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required
• Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used Occasionally assist and supervise junior technicians with the following –
• Sewer machines (power snakes)
• Sewer and drain jetting
• Rigid See Snake camera system (or similar)
• Roof work possible for vent system cleaning/inspections

Additional Qualifications:

• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
• Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
• Must have experience with high end residential clients
• Must provide basic tools; company will provide specialized/large tools
• Works well with a diverse group of people
• Strong work ethic and moral character
• Must meet and maintain Ringemann Plumbing minimum insurance requirements
• This position requires a successful completion of a drug screening
• This position requires a successful MVR check
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to legally work in the United States
• Prior military experience a plus
