Pool Plumber Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumber to join our growing team. The Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems for residential and commercial swimming pools. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install plumbing systems for new pool construction projects, including suction lines, return lines, and water features.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in existing pools, such as leaks, broken pipes, faulty valves, and pump/filter problems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
- Pressure test and inspect plumbing systems for leaks and code compliance.
- Cut, assemble, and install PVC piping and fittings.
- Collaborate with other trades (electricians, masons, plaster crews) to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and clients.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of plumbing experience (pool plumbing experience preferred).
- Ability to read construction drawings and plumbing schematics.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Skilled in using plumbing tools (saws, pipe threaders, pressure testers, etc.).
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with commercial pool plumbing.
- Knowledge of total dynamic head (TDH) calculations and hydraulic efficiency.
- Familiarity with different types of pool equipment (filters, pumps, heaters, automation systems).
