Assistant Installation Manager Position Overview:

We’re seeking a self-sufficient and reliable Assistant Installation Manager to assist in overseeing installation projects and creating an efficient working environment for our technicians. This new role serves as a vital link between field teams and operations, ensuring seamless project execution from estimation to installation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, foster team collaboration, and remain flexible.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Coordination:

Act as the primary morning contact, ensuring plumbing technicians are equipped, prepared, and dispatched to job sites efficiently.

Project Ownership:

Lead direct-build installation projects from initial estimation to final quality checks. Handle installation requests weekly, maintaining accountability for project timelines, resources, and outcomes.

Technical Estimation:

Conduct site visits to prepare accurate job estimates, leveraging deep technical expertise to ensure precision and compliance with company standards.

Quality Assurance:

Perform regular site inspections to maintain safety, adherence to technical codes, and the highest quality installation standards. Address issues promptly and escalate when necessary.

Supply and Equipment Management:

Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, ensuring technicians have what they need to complete jobs effectively and on time.

Team Leadership:

Provide guidance and support to a team of technicians fostering a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environment. Act as a resource for technical troubleshooting and daily operations.

Cross-Location Collaboration:

Partner with teams across locations as needed, ensuring alignment and continuity in project management and operational standards.

Utility Agency Liaison:

Collaborate with utility agencies to facilitate projects, ensuring compliance and maintaining strong relationships.

Customer Engagement :

Act as a touchpoint for installation clients, delivering clear communication, addressing concerns, and ensuring excellent customer experience.

Ideal Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems and project workflows, with hands-on installation experience preferred.

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to manage and motivate field teams, fostering an environment of trust and accountability.

Problem-Solving:

Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving on-site challenges.

Adaptability:

Comfortable working independently and managing tasks across multiple locations, with a flexible approach to shifting priorities.

Communication:

Clear and effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments.

Organizational Strength:

Demonstrated ability to handle scheduling, prioritize tasks, and oversee complex projects efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma/GED. At least 5 years of experience installing / servicing plumbing systems. Strong customer service skills that leave a lasting impression. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, empowering you to navigate our systems effortlessly. Critical thinking abilities to approach challenges with creativity and find effective solutions. Experience leading, coordinating, and/or supporting installation crews or field teams preferred.

Compensation:

Hourly rate negotiable based on experience and licensing. Health, vision, dental insurance 401K matching plan Profit sharing participation
