Come join our team as a Plumber I! We’re currently looking forPlumber I candidates. The position of Plumber I is critical tolearning the plumbing trade and steadily improving both quality andspeed over time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Studiously learn the necessaryaspects of drain, waste, vent (DWV), water systems, and otheraspects including but not limited to setting of tubs andinstallation of plumbing fittings and fixtures. Accurately buildand install complete plumbing systems showcasing a clearunderstanding of all types of plumbing fittings. Ensure adherenceto safety and quality of work standards. Deliberately managematerials needed for various projects. Steadily accumulateknowledge of basic tools required for plumbing work (soldering,cutting, and notching) and be able to put that knowledge into usewithin thirty (30) days. Precisely and regularly maintain a cleanand organized jobsite. Thoughtfully follow directions and processesgiven by site leadership. Enthusiastically motivated to learn theplumbing trade. Maintain compliance with state trade licensingprograms. Build knowledge of Plumbing Code. Maintain excellentattendance and punctuality to adhere to work schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
Motivated work ethic. Clear verbal communicationskills. Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction,multiplication, and division. Ability to read, write, and interpretreports and documents such as safety rules, operating instructions,procedure manual, and blueprints / CAD drawings. Critical thinkingskills and ability to problem solve independently. A high schooldiploma or GED is required. Valid driver license is required.
Obtain apprentice licensing in appropriate states. Exposed tooutdoor weather conditions including rain, humidity, snow, wind,cold, and heat. The environment may include very loud noises,working near mechanical and moving parts, working at variousheights, and small, awkward, confining workspaces. There is thepossibility of inhalation of fumes and airborne particles as wellas the risk of electrical shock and vibrations. Must be able to dothe following activities for most of the workday: stand, walk, usehands or fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop,kneel, crouch or crawl, see, talk, and hear. Must be able to climbor balance regularly. Near constant lifting or carrying of items ofvarious weights, typically up to 10 pounds most of the day. Capableof lifting at least 50 pounds on occasion. Manual dexteritysufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, andperceive attributes of objects and materials. Wear jobsite-specific personal protective equipment and be able to lift atleast 50 pounds. Possible travel to out of town/out of stateprojects
