Full Job Description General Statement of Job:

A service technician is a warranty-based position that is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing issues. This position will diagnose common and diverse plumbing emergencies efficiently, accurately and perform plumbing services. Ensure that our customers are satisfied and that all work is completed in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

Handling a variety of plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally. Installing pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and knowledge of trim fixtures. Testing systems for leaks and other problems. Obeying health and safety codes at all times. Performing inspections and providing advice to warranty representative and service coordinator. Selecting the most cost-effective, quality products for installation and repair. Working alongside electricians, construction workers, and other professionals. Communicating effectively with clients, especially when a job is taking longer than expected. Being polite and respectful of clients and their homes at all times. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Training:

High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.). Have basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including knowledge of fitting sizes and types of piping. Sound knowledge of water and ventilation systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strength and dexterity. A polite manner and excellent customer service skills. Motivated and work well with others. OSHA10 preferred. Willingness to embrace change in a growing company. Valid US driver’s license and a clear MVR (motor vehicle report) in order to be approved through the Company’s insurance provider for driving status.

Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places and /or hazardous equipment. May work with or around chemicals that require knowledge of a safety data sheet.

Working Environments and Conditions:

This position requires working in an outdoors environment. Individuals may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all-weather conditions. Individuals may be exposed to cramped workspaces, contaminants, extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

Company vehicle to use for service calls.
