Duties:

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes to determine the layout and installation of plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure efficient and effective installation.
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and appliances.
• Perform pipe threading and cutting using appropriate tools.
• Conduct inspections to identify plumbing issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Respond to service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and building plans.
• Basic math skills for measuring, calculating pipe lengths, angles, and dimensions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with plumbing work.
• Experience in remodeling projects is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and other construction professionals.
