The Building Trades Department at Alfred State College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Instructor to join our
HVAC AOS
degree program . This is a 10-month position , which means you’ll have the summer months off – perfect for recharging, consulting, or taking on industry projects. In this role, you’ll combine your real-world experience with classroom instruction to train the next generation of HVAC and plumbing professionals. You’ll deliver a mix of engaging lectures and hands-on learning-both in state-of-the-art campus labs and at real project sites.

Teach HVAC and plumbing principles through both theory and practice Guide students in hands-on learning environments, on and off campus Advise students and support their academic and career growth Collaborate on curriculum development that reflects current industry standards Participate in department and campus-wide initiatives, including recruiting and committee work Maintain strong connections with industry partners to keep instruction current and relevant Why Join Us? Job Requirements:
Applicants must be well versed in heating and electrical theories’, as well as expertise in plumbing and air conditioning service and installation. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5-7 years of trade service. Preferred candidates will hold an associate’s degree in a related field. Teaching experience in a technical environment is preferred.
Additional Information:
The starting salary for this position is $50,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Employees are also offered
