Plumber Position Available In Centre, Pennsylvania

Plumber Job Description Join our team as a skilled Commercial Plumber for new construction projects in Bellefonte, Altoona, and State College, PA. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with a reputable mechanical contracting company, offering stable, long-term work on commercial projects. We seek individuals with at least 1 year of experience on a commercial job site, adept in all phases of plumbing, including rough-in and finish work. Candidates with trade school or apprenticeship experience are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain PEX, PVC, and copper piping systems in commercial buildings. Perform rough-in and finish plumbing, including underground pipefitting, fixture installation, and final connections. Cut, thread, and assemble pipes using appropriate tools and techniques. Solder and braze copper pipes for water distribution systems. Install and secure PEX tubing for water supply applications. Work with PVC drainage systems, ensuring proper slope and connections. Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and safety regulations. Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople on job sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Collaborate with other trades and project managers to complete installations on time. Perform troubleshooting and repairs on plumbing systems as needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $35.00/hr.
