TDH, Inc. is seeking a plumbing apprentice with knowledge in both service and commercial plumbing. We offer a variety of job locations throughout Knoxville, TN, and the surrounding areas. Compensation package is based on level or experience.

Responsibilities:

Ability to diagnose, maintain, adjust, repair, and replace plumbing systems and components. (e.g., sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters) Cut, assemble and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring) Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks) Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, etc. Perform preventative maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial and some residential buildings. Review building plans and inspect them to assess material and equipment needs. Cleaning the job site after the work is completed. Be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of independence.

Requirements:

At least 3+ years experience as a plumbing apprentice or willingness to learn. Experience in all phases of the plumbing trade including piping, fixture installation, and service, repair, design, and layout of plumbing systems preferred. Experience in construction and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial facilities Ability to properly use plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, augers, etc.) Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces. Ability to get to and from job sites. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to pass a drug and background check.
