Assistant Superintendent Job Description The Assistant Superintendent supervises journeyman plumbers and helpers, overseeing plumbing functions, including the installation and repair of pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems. The role requires adherence to specifications and plumbing codes, as well as the review of building plans and working drawings to determine necessary work aids and sequence of installations. Responsibilities Supervise journeyman plumbers and helpers. Oversee and inspect plumbing installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and specifications. Review building plans and working drawings to determine work aids and installation sequence. Provide input on plumbing plans and manage the implementation and maintenance of these systems. Demonstrate the proper and safe use of tools and related equipment. Essential Skills Expertise in construction and plumbing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency in working with PVC, cast iron, and piping. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in running crews. Experience in operational management. Why Work Here?
