Plumber Helper Job Description We are seeking a skilled Plumber Helper to join our team. The role involves installing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment, diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all systems function properly. You will also be responsible for interpreting blueprints, utilizing various tools and equipment, adhering to safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities Install plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment, including water heaters, dishwashers, and garbage disposals. Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks, clogs, and other issues, including cleaning drains and unclogging pipes. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure they function properly and prevent future issues. Identify and resolve problems in plumbing systems, diagnosing malfunctions, and implementing necessary repairs. Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing installations and renovations. Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, soldering torches, and sewer augers. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures when working with plumbing systems and materials. Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues, and providing pricing and scheduling information. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job. Order and maintain necessary supplies and materials for plumbing jobs. Essential Skills Experience in construction, blueprint interpretation, and plumbing. Proficiency in working with PVC and cast iron piping systems. Expertise in mechanical and plumbing installations. Skilled in using soldering tools and hand tools. Experience in commercial and residential construction. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in both commercial and residential settings.
