Job Title:
Service Plumber Job Description We are seeking a skilled service plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment, diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, performing routine maintenance, and interpreting blueprints to plan installations. The role requires effective communication with clients, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to safety regulations. Responsibilities Install plumbing fixtures, pipes, and related equipment, including water heaters, dishwashers, and garbage disposals. Diagnose and repair plumbing leaks, clogs, and other issues, including cleaning drains and unclogging pipes. Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure they function properly and prevent future issues. Identify and resolve problems in plumbing systems, including diagnosing malfunctions and implementing necessary repairs. Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute plumbing installations and renovations. Adhere to safety regulations and procedures when working with plumbing systems and materials. Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues, and providing pricing and scheduling information. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job. Order and maintain necessary supplies and materials for plumbing jobs. Essential Skills Experience in both commercial and residential plumbing. Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and schematics. Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing issues. Knowledge of plumbing tools and equipment such as pipe cutters, soldering torches, and sewer augers. Strong communication skills for client interactions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with a variety of plumbing materials, including PVC, cast iron, and soldering tools.
