Full Job Description Position Overview:

Sprinkler Solutions of Florida is seeking a skilled and dependable Irrigation Pump Technician. The ideal candidate would have a background in the installation and service of all types of pumps and controls, including PLC’s, VFD, control valves and other related electrical and mechanical equipment. Candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable working on their own and committed to providing excellent service to our customers. As an Irrigation Pump Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of irrigation pumps in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:

• The installation, calibrating, configuring, testing, maintaining, evaluating, troubleshooting, and repairing of irrigation pumps, and related equipment (filters and sensors)
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
• Assess and repair/rebuild and build pumps and pump stations.
• Provide recommendations for system upgrades or repairs based on customer needs.
• Perform field service.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced using company software.
• Adhere to all safety standards and company policies while performing duties.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional certification in irrigation or pump systems is a plus.
• Proven experience as an irrigation pump technician or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pumps, and related equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose/repair technical issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a DOT drivers physical for driving fleet vehicles as required.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends or on-call shifts if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a recognized irrigation or pump association. (IA, NIR)
• Experience with landscape irrigation design and installation is a plus.
• Knowledge of water conservation techniques and smart irrigation technology is a plus.
