DESCRIPTION OF WORK

DEFINITION:

Responsible for assisting in the flushing, servicing, painting and inspecting fire hydrants.

REPORTS TO

The Water Distribution Supervisor.

• This job posting is for a Temporary assignment lasting 12 weeks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Assist in flushing fire hydrants.
Inspect, Service and Paint Fire Hydrants.
Assist as directed by Supervision with other department functions.
Maintain grass around hydrants via weed eating and spraying.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Current High school or College Student/ Graduate. Must have basic computer skills.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outside in summer weather conditions.

Monday

• Friday 7:00 a.m.
• 4:00 p.

m. Work schedule will vary according to programs and services.

Preference given to previous part-time employees in good standing.
