We are a trenchless drainage rehabilitation contractor, which basically means we rehabilitate (line) old stormwater pipes that go under roads that are too important to close while someone removes and replaces them. Job Summary:
The Pump Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining pumps and related equipment to ensure the efficient transfer of liquids or gases. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow safety protocols at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor pump equipment to ensure proper functioning. Start, stop, and regulate pump operations as needed. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs. Record operational data such as pressure readings, flow rates, and fuel levels. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating pumps or similar machinery preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read gauges, meters, and technical instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Physically fit and able to work in various environmental conditions. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if required. Valid driver license Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Pay:
Starting at $17+ as well as per diems
