Director of Support Shop and Facilities Job Summary:
As an Accessories Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance of accessory components. Including troubleshooting, repair modification, testing and inspection of aviation accessory equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs electrical repairs and modifications in accordance with manufacturer instructions and repair station established processes. Apply the basic techniques and procedures of electrical installation. Rework connectors, back shells, wires terminations, splices, split rings, lugs and any other component built in a Wire Harness. Troubleshoots product failures and performs necessary maintenance to return article to an operational state. Operates electronic test equipment as required to perform tests and troubleshooting. Understands and utilizes hand tools correctly to perform required maintenance of articles. Performs solder work in accordance with industry standards. Completes required documentation of all work and inspections performed. Communicates effectively with managers and co-workers. Performs routine production assembly operations on CFM56 engine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using OEM manual operations.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies include but are not limited to: 2+ years of Engine harness wire routing, wire dressing, Harness repairs, cannon plug repairs, Wire hook ups, resistance and continuity checks. Functional testing of fuel nozzles. Testing and repairs of ball screw actuators, VSV actuators, Testing equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday. Regularly required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
