Install, remove, and replace marine deck equipment, machinery, and fittings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, remove, disassemble, replace, or repair, reassemble, and install marine machinery and equipment
- Plan and accomplish the rigging and lifting of large objects
- Catalogue and control removed and replaced material
- Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, and materials
- Use hand and power tools to drill, tap, caulk, polish and mount machinery, equipment, and components
- Interpret drawings or sketches to determine location and installation details
- Provide supervisor with job status and recommendations to improve quality and efficiency
- Must not be afraid of heights
- Must have your own tools
