Job Description

Demolition & Concrete Cutting Technician Reliable Demolition Services 5436 Catalyst Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34233 We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Demolition & Concrete Cutting Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves physically demanding work in demolition, concrete cutting, and related construction tasks. The ideal candidate is punctual, strong, and experienced with power tools and trailer hauling, with a clean driving record. While concrete cutting experience is a plus, it’s not required—we value a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Candidates with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) are eligible for higher pay within the range. Key Responsibilities:

Perform demolition tasks, including breaking down structures, removing debris, and preparing sites for new construction. Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including saws, drills, jackhammers, and other tools used in demolition and concrete cutting. Assist with concrete cutting tasks (training provided for candidates without prior experience). Haul trailers loaded with equipment, materials, or debris to and from job sites. Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and safe, adhering to OSHA and company safety standards. Interact professionally and politely with customers, representing the company with a positive attitude. Maintain personal hygiene and present a professional appearance on job sites. Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment as needed. Follow supervisors’ instructions and collaborate with team members to complete projects on time. Perform routine maintenance checks on tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure proper functionality.

Qualifications:
Experience:

Proven experience in demolition, construction, or a related field preferred Proficiency with power tools (e.g., circular saws, grinders, jackhammers) and hauling trailers. Concrete cutting experience is a plus but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Licenses & Records:

Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record (no major violations or accidents). Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus and qualifies for higher pay within the range.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and at different job sites.

Soft Skills:

Reliable, punctual, and ready to work with a strong sense of responsibility. Polite and professional demeanor when interacting with customers and team members. Commitment to maintaining personal hygiene and a tidy appearance.

Other:

Ability to follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Rate:

$20.00 – $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Candidates with a CDL or advanced skills may qualify for the higher end of the pay range.
