Outdoor Drainage Installer High Flow Drainage Solutions Richmond, MO 64085 About High Flow Drainage Solutions High Flow Drainage Solutions (HFDS) is an A-rated BBB contractor that fixes water-intrusion problems for homes and small commercial sites within a 70-mile radius of Kansas City. Our two main services are buried downspouts and French drains. After five years of steady growth, we’re adding a reliable crew member who can assist in managing trench work during excavation and hauling equipment. Position Overview You will help install French drains, buried downspouts, sump-pump discharge lines, retaining walls and related systems. The work is physically demanding, outdoors, and often requires long days in hot weather, with plenty of overtime. Reliability, safe driving, and comfort with power tools are essential. This role involves sustained physical activity such as shoveling, lifting, kneeling, and exposure to heat, cold, dirt and noise. Proper PPE is provided and required. Key Responsibilities Dig and shape trenches when needed Maintain smooth, debris-free bottoms for pipe installation Install pipe, fittings and fabric for French drain systems Backfill, compact and restore job sites to specification Assist around mini skid-steers and mini excavators Safely use hand and power tools: drills, augers, utility knives, torches, Sawzalls and concrete saws Haul equipment and materials with a truck and trailer; navigate city and highway traffic Follow foreman instructions, wear required PPE and uphold all site safety rules Required Qualifications Valid Missouri driver’s license ( Class E or higher preferred) Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly Ability to stand/bend/dig for 10-12 hours, and work outdoors year-round Basic familiarity with common hand and power tools Authorized to work in the U.S. and at least 18 years old Preferred Qualifications Experience in drainage, utility trenching, landscaping or light excavation Comfort driving a truck + trailer in urban traffic Experience with laser level Work Schedule & Pay You’ll typically work 10-12 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with an occasional Saturday added if earlier rain delays put a project behind. Rain days are normally called off for field crews. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour (overtime at 1.5× after 40 hours), with a 90-day performance review for a potential raise and eligibility for a bonus program after your first year.
