General Description The Punch Out Laborer plays a key role in supporting final construction tasks, repairs, and site cleanup to prepare projects for completion. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions from the Punch Out Leader or Foreman. The Punch Out Laborer works with the team to ensure that all punch-out tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project requirements.
Key Duties Site Cleanup & Finishing Work:
Perform final grading, soil stabilization, and erosion control installation. Assist with concrete patching, minor asphalt repairs, and final site adjustments. Remove debris, excess materials, and ensure job site cleanliness. Ensure proper finishing of site details to prepare for project closeout.
Equipment & Tool Operation:
Operate hand tools, compactors, and light equipment to perform punch-out tasks. Assist in loading and unloading materials for finishing work. Use basic measuring tools and leveling devices to complete minor grading work.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Wear appropriate PPE (hard hats, gloves, boots, etc.) at all times. Report any hazardous conditions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
Communication & Reporting:
Work under the direction of the Punch Out Foreman and Punch Out Leader. Maintain good communication with teammates and site supervisors. Assist with documenting punch-out work completed, including photos and work reports.
Qualification Requirements Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ years of experience in construction, labor, or punch-out work preferred. Willingness to learn new tasks and take direction.
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to use hand tools and basic construction equipment. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently. Physical Demands Constant physical effort, including standing, lifting, and bending. Ability to lift 50-90 lbs frequently and up to 150 lbs with assistance. Work in various weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Work Environment Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Exposure to dust, dirt, heavy equipment, and construction noise. Regular work near moving machinery and active job sites.
