Job Description
TITLE:
Architectural Roofer
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma and 2 years of experience as a roofer.
JOB DUTIES
Install, maintain, and repair a variety of roofing systems including asphalt shingles, slate, tile, wood shake, single-ply membranes (e.g., TPO, EPDM), and standing seam metal roofs. Inspect roofs for damage, remove old roofing materials, and install new systems according to manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes. Prepare roof surfaces, apply vapor barriers or insulation, and use hand and power tools to fasten roofing materials securely. Work with architectural metal roofing systems on occasion, including cutting and installing pre-fabricated or shop-fabricated metal panels and flashings.
