Kautz Construction is a family-owned business in Lancaster that has been around for over 45 years. We specialize in commercial roofing and offer great pay and benefits. Currently, we are searching for a Roofing Service Technician with great customer service skills who can identify roofing issues, clearly communicate the correct solution to the customer, and perform the needed repair work.

Service Technician Duties:

Correctly identify roof leaks and other customer roofing concerns. Document roof conditions and log the information. Complete requested repairs and notify customer of work completed. Maintain roof conditions necessary for customers to retain warranty. Perform Inspections and report findings. Travel to conduct service work in Central PA, occasionally in MD, NJ and NY. Communicate clearly and effectively with customers. Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks. Join production team when not on service calls. When on production team, you must be willing to work out-of-town (average two weeks a month out-of-town. While out-of-town you earn an extra $2.00 per hour and per diem).

Service Technician requirements:

Experience in removal and installation of all types of COMMERCIAL and Residential roofing (this includes use of safety equipment and knowledge of all tools needed to complete the tasks) Hardworking, reliable, team-oriented, punctual, and willing to learn. Effective communication with management and customers. Able to lift 50 lbs., climb up & down ladders to a minimum height of 25 feet. Able to work on flat and steep slope roofs. Valid Driver’s License Able to work out-of-town, and overtime, as needed. Follow OSHA regulations . Early start time when needed. 18 years of age or older Agree to pre-employment drug screening.
